Police said Monday they arrested a man and two women suspected of having chained for three days a family member to a closet and abused him by refusing him food or drink and committing an indecent act by force.
The man, his wife and sister were arrested last Thursday, police said in a statement. The three suspects and the victim are residents of the central coastal city of Bat Yam.
The police gave no reason for the abuse.

Police were first alerted when the suspect, 44, was seen forcing the victim, 21, into his car on Haroshet Street in Bat Yam earlier in the day. The agents traced the car and were able to rescue the woman, who is a relative of the main suspect. During an investigation, the details of his alleged imprisonment were revealed.
Investigators learned that a month earlier, the main suspect had chained the woman by the legs to a closet at home for a period of three days during which he had violently beaten her. During captivity, they refused him food and drink.
At night, the wife of the suspect, 35, slept next to the captive. The wife and her sister-in-law allegedly committed an indecent act on the woman by force, the police said.
On Friday, the Tel Aviv District Court extended the detention of the suspects for three days. They must appear again in court on Monday for a hearing to extend their pre-trial detention.
