As warm, wet weather and afternoon storms continue, residents of Williamson County may expect similar weather conditions on July 4th.

Mark Rose, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service, said that the afternoon, Friday, Saturday and Sunday have the greatest risk of storms with a front that runs through the region.

Rose also says Thursday's storm, with heavy rain and hail, ominous black clouds and hundreds of lightning strikes in the area, collected 2.61 inches of precipitation for the day.
