MOSCOW – A Kremlin spokesman expressed his condolences following the death of a British woman poisoned by a nerve agent last month.
Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Monday that Moscow "is deeply concerned about the cases these elements of poison" in Britain. Peskov added that such attacks pose a danger not only in the United Kingdom, but also in Europe as a whole.
Peskov said that linking Russia to poisoning would be "absurd".
Asked if death could scramble the next US-Russian summit in Helsinki next week, Peskov responded that the poisoning "did not report" to the meeting. He said "it is the problem of Britain and the problem of the interest of Britain in a real investigation."
