Elbit Systems unveiled a new variant of its Hermes 900 unmanned aerial vehicle, the StarLiner, which includes modifications to allow for its safety in the civil airspace.
The long-endurance medium altitude drone has been tested in flight for the past 12 months in an Israeli national park, under the supervision of the country's civil aviation regulator.
Elbit says that the StarLiner has a number of technologies to allow its integration into the civil airspace, including the latest discoveries. avoidance warning systems, as well as an automatic takeoff and landing function.
