The St. Louis Cardinals announced Saturday a shocking organizational reshuffle, shooting director Mike Matheny in his seventh year with the team.
The move came after the Cardinals' 8-2 loss to the Cincinnati Reds on Saturday, lowered their record to 47-46 and seven games behind the Cubs in the central NL race. Matheny had a career record of 591-474 as manager of the Cardinals.
