Machado beating second at the beginning of Dodgers

The Dodgers will open the second half r road to Milwaukee. This means that Manny Machado will be visiting for the first time on L.A.'s forums in a city where he could have landed otherwise. In his debut with Dodger, Machado will be in second place and will run out of time …

They stand against a southpaw tonight, so it will probably not be their alignment going from the front . Also …

Machado was number 13 in Baltimore. On this subject …

Manny Machado said that he goes to No. 8 to signify a fresh start. Also, to refer to Kobe Bryant. "Who does not like Kobe?", He asked.

– Pedro Moura (@pedromoura) 20 July 2018

Machado left Baltimore after having reached .315 / .387 / .575 home runs. He is on the pace to set new career records all along the line.

The Machado Dodgers will send Rich Hill to the mound to face Wade Miley. Believe it or not, Miley has actually surpbaded Hill this season, and will come in with a 2.38 ERA.

The Brewers have two more wins and losses than the Dodgers.

Acuna begins for the first time

The Braves start their second half Friday night. When they do, they will have a new look on the top of their order. Ronald Acuna Jr., former baseball prospect, will lead the game for the first time in his career:

The Braves used only three leading forwards all season, with Ender Inciarte (53) and Ozzie Albies (40) ) in 93 of the 94 games of Atlanta. (Dansby Swanson was the first to come back in mid-June.) Since Inciarte and Albies have higher base percentages than Acuna (.312 and .318 vs. .304), it's an interesting decision .

Brian Snitker wants that Acuna put more emphasis on reaching the base. He has only covered 6.5% of the time and has made two free pbades in 55 appearances since returning from the wounded list at the end of June.

This represents the second match in a row that acuna has made a first: last Sunday represented his first start in the central field

Strasburg returns

Stephen Strasburg did not launched for the Nationals since June 8th. , his 30th birthday, he will return to the mound after missing more than a month due to inflammation of the shoulder.

Strasbourg will face the Braves, which will make it a crucial match for the Nationals. Washington enters with six more defeats than Atlanta, but in four other matches. This will be the third time that Strasbourg faces the Braves this season. In his two previous starts, he had a gem (eight innings in play) and a solid start (four points in six innings and two-thirds with 10 strikeouts and no wins). What will Friday bring?

Strasbourg enters the evening with a 3.46 ERA and 76 strikeouts more than in the 80 2/3 innings.

Carpenter Leaders, Lou Brock Records

The Cardinals and Cubs have a head start the rest of the league, playing their first game of the second semifinal Thursday night and their second Friday after- midday. During this second part, Matt Carpenter broke one of Lou Brock's franchise records and matched another. You can read the full story here .

Syndergaard confronts the Yankees

Noah Syndergaard returns after having missed nearly two months just before the break, throwing five innings of a ball against the Nationals. Friday, he will make his first start on the road since the end of May, while he and the Mets travel across the city to face the Yankees.

Some might call it an audition, but it's probably a stretch. The Mets are not really motivated to rush a Syndergaard trade, since they can wait until winter when more teams are looking to improve their alignment

Nevertheless, Syndergaard will only look for his third two-digit match of the season. He has not fanned more than 10 batters since April 15, when he pulled out 11 batters in 5 innings and one-third. Just to say that the Mets had a little more to play at the time.
