1.3-inch screen adorns the latest Samsung Galaxy Watch to visit the FCC

A few days ago, we learned that the Samsung Galaxy Watch had received the green light from the FCC. The models included in the certification were SM-R815U for the United States and SM-R815W for Canada. Today, a different model Galaxy Watch, SM-R805U has received its approval from the US regulatory agency. This model is larger because it weighs 48mm with a 1.3-inch screen. This compares with the 43.4mm case and the 1.2 inch screen on the SM-R815.
Both variants of the Samsung Galaxy Watch support the same LTE tapes, which means that the larger unit will also be compatible with the LTE networks of all four major US carriers. Both models also support Wi-Fi (802.11b, 802.11g, 802.11n).
The larger version of the Samsung Galaxy Watch (SM-R805) seems to have a different case from the smaller one (SM-R815). Check out the picture at the top of this article; the biggest model is on the left. We expect connected watches to be powered by Tizen and should be unveiled on August 9th along with the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. The release date of the two expected products will be August 24th.
