PHILADELPHIA, PA – Phillies first place made its first big dive before the trade deadline, earning New York Mets championship drummer Asdrubal Cabrera.
The Phillies will send Franklyn Kilome's Double-A Launcher to the Mets as part of the deal, which was reported Friday night by Ken Rosenthal with The Athletic.
Cabrera has experience at the second and third goals, but he will likely be used mainly as a shortstop with the Phillies, who received limited offensive production until this year's rookies Scott Kingery and JP Crawford.
