Two Israeli films are nominated for the 2018 Emmy Awards, which will take place on October 1st.
The list of nominations for the News and Documentary Emmy Awards, released Thursday, includes Maya Zinshteins' documentary film "Forever Pure".

The documentary focuses on the history of the Beitar Football Club of Jerusalem and on the Racist indignation of his fans in 2012 after the signing of two Muslim players.
Another Israeli film nominated for the Emmy's Award is "Princess Shaw" by Ido Haar, nominated in the POV category dedicated to movies focused on arts and culture.
The film tells the story of an anonymous singer from New Orleans, Princess Shaw, accidentally discovered by Israeli musician Kutiman. The film worked well in Israeli theaters and was distributed in the United States by Magnolia and Participant Media.
"Forever Pure", which was produced for the Israeli Yes Doco, opened the Jerusalem Film Festival in 2016, where it won three awards, including staging and editing awards. It was later featured at dozens of international film festivals, including the prestigious IDFP festival in the Netherlands and at the Toronto Film Festival, and was purchased by Netflix last year.
"Princess Shaw" was supported by Israeli Yes Doco and the new Fund for Film and Television. It was also bought by Netflix.
