Rafael Devers will miss some time.
The Boston Red Sox third baseman came out in the eighth inning of their 10-4 win over the Minnesota Twins on Saturday with a left hamstring injury. And before the final of Sunday's series, the Red Sox placed Devers on the 10-day wounded list and recalled striker Tzu-Wei Lin of Triple-A Pawtucket.
Originally, Devers was injured hamstring during a decay in the first run, but he exacerbated it by finishing second to eighth. He spent time on the DL early July with a sore shoulder.
In 96 games this season, the 21-year-old scored .245 with 15 homers in 52 RBIs. Lin, meanwhile, strikes .182 without circuits and a point produced in 19 games.
