Pistons' Drummond does NBA number on Cavs

Andre Drummond powered for 26 points and 22 rebounds for Detroit to remain unbeaten with a 110-103 NBA victory over the winless Cleveland Cavaliers.

Drummond notched up his 22nd career 20-20 game on Thursday, and second this season.

Blake Griffin, who scored a career-high 50 points in an overtime win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday, also supplied 26 points and 10 rebounds.

The Pistons overwhelmed visitors Cleveland on the boards, 48-30, to overcome 20 turnovers.

In Orlando, Damian Lillard's second-half scoring helped propel Portland to a 128-114 victory.

The point guard notched 34 of his 41 points after halftime in a record haul for a Trail Blazers' player against Orlando.

CJ McCollum also had 22 for the Blazers Trail and Jusuf Nurkic added 18 points and 10 rebounds.

Nikola Vucevic led Orlando with 24 points and 11 rebounds.

McCollum's Lillard and fellow guard combined to score 22 of Portland's final 26 points to seal the win.

The Celtics overcame the absence of Australian center Aron Baynes (hamstring) and a 16-point halftime deficit to beat winless Oklahoma City 101-95 on the road.

Power forward Jayson Tatum topped the scoring with 24 points while Paul George contributed 22 points for the Thunder, but shot just seven of 22.

Russell Westbrook had 13 points, 15 rebounds and eight badists, though only landed five for 20.

Oklahoma led 50-34 at halftime after Boston had shot just 32 percent and missed all 11 three-point attempts.

Boston nailed seven of their first three-pointers in the third quarter to get back on track – Al Horford was just about 41 seconds away.

A LeBron James triple-double led at Los Angeles Lakers' late rally for home team at Staples Center, 128-111, over the previously unbeaten Denver Nuggets.

James dominated with 28 points, 11 badists and 11 rebounds in his 74th triple-double career – the first with his new team. Kyle Kuzma scored 22 points and JaVale McGee added 21.

With Kobe Bryant watching from a courtside seat, the Lakers trailed by eight points with six minutes remaining before Lance Stephenson started a 15-2 rally with back-to-back three-pointers. Stephenson finished with 12 points.
