Direct flights between Manchester and Israel are expected to resume next year.
El Al announced at the World Travel Market that it would add the direct link to its program for the first time in more than a decade. The service will be offered three times a week from May 26, Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday.
It comes after the closure of Monarch, which includes the route in its calendar, a year ago.

"We will bring Israel even closer," said Michael Strbadburger of El Al at the opening of the Israeli government's tourism board area during the London WTM annual. "We can not wait for thousands of British tourists to use this new service."
Mark Regev, who cut the ribbon on the stand with the director general of the Israeli Ministry of Tourism, said that a record number of British tourists had visited the Jewish state last year – and that this would be eclipsed again in 2018.
He said, "This is a really exciting time for the British to visit Israel. I'm waiting for more and more people to visit. It's good for the British and good for Israel. "
