GAZA: Two Israelis were slightly injured in an alleged Palestinian gun attack on a bus near a settlement in the occupied West Bank of Israel on Wednesday night, the army said.

The incident occurred near Focus Crossing, adjacent to the Beit El settlement, north of Ramallah City.

An army spokesman said in a statement that shots were fired on a bus running.

"Two civilians were struck by fragments and slightly injured before being evacuated for medical treatment," the statement said.

The gunman or fugitives fled, the spokesman said, adding that "Israeli Defense Forces troops search the area."

Israeli emergency services said that one of the wounded was the bus driver, a man in his thirties, and the other a 35-year-old pbadenger.

The shooting was the latest in a wave of violence in the West Bank.
