Film Aquaman from Washington: The first reactions of critics are published

The first reactions to Aquaman have arrived! It's the first DC movie since the much-maligned Justice League a year ago. The hope is great that DC will please the aquatic public. The release date of the film is scheduled for December, and although the appropriate reviews will not appear before, the critics have talked a lot about the film on Twitter.

Given criticisms made against many of DC's recent films, including Suicide Squad and Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, some critics seemed to have gone to Aquaman with expectations lower than those of a Marvel movie . And for the most part, they were satisfied with the final result, citing the scale, vfx, distribution and its humorous tone among the positives. Gizmodo Germaine Lussier described as a "big, fun, wild ride", while Den of Geek Mike Cecchini said he's "inspired by his fantasy movie / adventure vibe of the 80s".

Aquaman is a big fun ride. It is undoubtedly melodramatic and bursting with the broadest and most ambitious meaning imaginable. Some parts are pretty bad, but they are not in the majority and, curiously, they always fit in the cartoony's tone. 2nd best DCU movie. YEEEAAHH! pic.twitter.com/3GLlK3uQJ3

#Aquaman is pretty wild. It inspires much more of its 80s fantasy / adventure movie mood than superhero elements, and it works. This is another step in the right direction for the CESD and shows how the tones of these films can be different / distinct while staying together.

The actors of Aquaman were greeted, especially by star Jason Momoa. Joblo Editor-in-Chief Paul Shirey said that Momoa "appropriates the character", while that of We Live Entertainment Ashley Menzel he says, "brings Aquaman out of the shadows to stand with the greats like Wonder Woman."

Short and sweet reaction to #Aquaman did I like it? It is a comic strip movie that offers great action, iconic moments and a visual spectacle to spare. Momoa creates the character and Wan respects the traditional aspects, but the student in the modern era. It's awesome.

Director James Wan has also been distinguished. Wan is best known for Furious 7 and his horror films such as The Conjuring and the original Saw. However, Aquaman is by far his biggest film to date and most critics agree that he has handled the challenge well. Fandango Erik Davis describes Wan as the "real star" of the film, with IGN Tom Jorgensonstates that Warner should hand over "the reins of the DCEU" to the director.

#Aquaman It's the most ambitious DC movie to date – a great, sprawling, beautiful, crazy, action-packed visual show that's a lot of fun to watch. James Wan, in my opinion, is the true star: he raises the matter, makes it entertaining and conquers it. pic.twitter.com/gDFjiAWICA

#Aquaman is the best DC movie since The Dark Knight.@creepypuppet delivers an epic of politeness full of thrills, stunning underwater graphics, exciting action and lots of laughs.
WB should entrust the reins of the DCEU to James Wan, he proved that he could do it, huh, aboard the ship. pic.twitter.com/4hjxdmNLDf

However, although Aquan has not received negative feedback so far, some critics have been more vocal in their response. The editor of Slashfilm Peter Sciretta stated that he was "better than expected" and that he "felt like a Marvel Phase 1 film, in a good way". The comparison with the beginning of Marvel was reflected by the author Nicholas Whitcomb, who described it as "a film of the first phase of the MCU, at the level of Thor." The GameSpot Michael Rougeau said the movie was "flawed, but entertaining", but admired how "big, creative and crazy it is."

? #Aquaman is better than expected. It's like being in the first phase of Marvel, in the good sense of the word. This is the best time to have fun and not take yourself too seriously. Black Manta is a big bad guy that comic fans will love. Some spectacular shots and good actions. pic.twitter.com/aTnc1QWk66

#Aquaman it's good. Do not expect too much for a MCU from the first phase of the first phase, at the level of Thor 1. Mera, Black Manta and Queen Atlanna are outstanding. James Wan has delivered a fun adventure into the worlds of DC. The trench is pic.twitter.com/GbVp9U7isT

Viewed #Aquaman before Thanksgiving and had a week to think about it. It's imperfect, but fun. Momoa and Patrick Wilson are absolute jewels. Above all, the movie is completely crazy. I can not believe how big, creative and crazy it is. I have to see him again! pic.twitter.com/m2oRbHVtu9
