Commander Home Front: "In the next war, they will not drink coffee in Tel Aviv"

The Commander of the Home Front, General Tamir Yadai, today took part in a conference of the new leaders of the local authorities and examined the role of the Home Front Command in preparing the local authorities of emergency.

"There is no doubt that the threat on the Israeli home front during the next war will be very difficult," Yadai said at a conference of the Interior Ministry in Ashkelon.

According to him, 2019 will see a more complex and difficult threat for Israel. In addition to the capabilities we know from the past, there is another geostrategic reality that presents us with other challenges and threats. "It is possible that fronts are opening in the north and the south because we are aware of attempts at coordination," Major-General Yadai said. "In the coming confrontation, there will be more fighting in the north or in Gaza while they are drinking coffee in Tel Aviv."
