Qualcomm Incorporated (NASDAQ: QCOM), the world leader in next-generation wireless technologies, has launched a new fund focused on artificial intelligence.
the Qualcomm Ventures AI Fund will invest up to $ 100 million in startups developing a new artificial intelligence technology for autonomous cars, robotics and machine learning platforms, focusing on those sharing Qualcomm's vision of creating an integrated artificial intelligence.
The fund also announced the first investment in Anyvision, a face, body and object recognition startup whose use of built-in AI to the device minimizes data propagation, thereby mitigating privacy issues.
This investment will strengthen its efforts to expand to other industries and develop new applications of artificial intelligence that transform the way the world connects, calculates and communicates.
Led by Quinn Li, Qualcomm Ventures is the venture capital arm of Qualcomm, which strategically invests in technology companies that have been transforming the world since 2000.
