One of the reasons they booked this so early in the cycle is that they can give the EST Velveteen Dream treatment and rely on the encouragement it usually receives. We will see. For now, she won a 4Way also including Io Shirai, Lacey Evans and Mia Yim to get the right to face the Queen of Spades in the desert.
It was the only fight officially booked, but another match seemed to have been organized before it was quickly … was not:
– Tommaso Ciampa (c) against Aleister Black and / or Johnny Gargano? for the NXT championship
Early in the evening, Aleister interrupted the champion and called his shot for a rematch in Phoenix. Having beaten Johnny Gargano in the last TakeOver, he seemed to have a good fight. But "Johnny Badbad", as Ciampa calls him, introduced himself and said he was not done with Black, and the reservation was canceled.
At the end of the night, Gargano equalized his record against Aleister by winning a win in a steel cage match thanks to a #DIY meeting in which Johnny & Tommaso hit their old finisher Meet In The Middle on Black AND ONE ONE KNOWS WHAT TO BELIEVE MORE!?!?
As mentioned above, many people were not used on Wednesday at Full Sail – Sane, Keith Lee, Velveteen Dream, War Raiders, Nikki Cross – so there remains a lot of intrigue for the four matches that will be probably added to the female title. showdown on the map for January 26th.
