Fans of I'm Celebrity wonder if Holly Willoughby is behind a major change in Bushtucker trials

I am a celebrity 2018 has generated tremendous praise from viewers, especially for new co-hosts and hearings continue to soar.

But some loyal fans have noticed that something was missing at this year's show – and they were not talking about Ant McPartlin.

During Busktucker's nocturnal trials, celebrities encountered the usual bad fish guts, spiders and badroaches.

But one of the favorite creatures of the producers – the rats – has been remarkably absent until now.

And a fan theory suggested that this could be due to new co-presenter, Holly Willoughby.

As she was announced as a replacement for Ant in August, Holly said there were some aspects to life in the jungle with which she would not be quite comfortable.

"I'm afraid of everything," she admitted boldly, the rats being one of her most hateful hatreds.

In order to help Holly before leaving for Australia, Phillip Schofield and the This Morning team have organized a series of trial simulations to help her face her fears.

One of the challenges of this morning's "Morning of Shocks" was to see Holly having to blindly put her hand into a container containing three kittens, which she immediately badumed to be a rat.

As Holly screamed in terror, Declan Donnelly, who was sitting at home watching, tweeted, "She was worse than Gillian McKeith, why the hell are we ?!"

And fans wondered if Holly's phobia was the reason for the absence of rats in this year's trials until now.

In tonight's new edition, Harry Redknapp, Nick Knowles and John Barrowman will tackle fish bowels, ice mud and badroaches during the first immunity game challenge.

Earlier in the day, an ITV presenter said that Ant McPartlin was still working behind the scenes at I-Celebrity, although he took a year off to enliven the # 39; s issued.

Emma Jesson, known for her weather forecast on ITV, went on Twitter Wednesday to badert that Ant is still involved in creating live television links between Declan Donnelly and temporary replacement Holly Willoughby.

"I'm told that Ant has been consulted for the Holly & Dec links with script for the @imacelebrity 2018 series," tweeted Emma.

"The Top Move production team, if that's the case, can see its trademark."

An ITV representative declined to comment.
