Chris Pine in a surprising cameo

With Spider-Man: in the Spider-Verse Just two weeks away from movie theaters, exciting new details are beginning to be revealed about the first animated adventure of the crawler-wall crawler on the big screen.

At a recent screening of the upcoming film, ComicBook.com has confirmed that a major actor in the film universe of DC Comics plays a small role in the new film, although this role has a a major impact on Miles Morales' journey towards the destiny of Spider-Man.

As confirmed by the credits, Wonder Woman star Chris Pine is featured in the Spider Man movie like none other than Peter Parker himself. But wait, how can Pine be the original Spidey if Jake Johnson is also playing the same character? Well, just consider the title of the movie and you have your answer …

Into the Spider-Verse introduces Marvel fans to a vast multiverse, each with its own version of the main character. But Miles Morales comes from a world where Peter Parker really existed and died, inspiring him to take on the role of Spider-Man.

Pine will embody this version of Spider-Man, which suffers the same fate as its counterpart in Ultimate Comics and leaves a void to fill for Miles.

This is different from the version of the character Jake Johnson, who is more or less fed up with its functions and becomes disillusioned. But he is still a spider-man, a living man who breathes, who takes Miles under his wing and teaches him what he needs to know to put on the mask and protect his city.

Producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller spoke with Fandango about their version of Peter Parker and the fact that it was almost a perfect amalgam of all the great Spidey stories told in comics, cartoons and movies.

"The universe of Spider-Man in Miles that he met at the beginning of the film was supposed to be as knowledgeable as possible, and should live in an alternate universe that we would all consider the universe of traditional cartoon, "says the Lord.
