The movie's trailer, Uri, starring Vicky Kaushal, Yami Gautami and Paresh Rawal, based on the 2016 surgical strike, was released on Wednesday.

The video explains the context: "On September 18, 2016, 19 unarmed Indian soldiers were martyred at the base of Uri, Kashmir."
The following title is entitled "The most lethal attack of the last two decades". Vicky Kaushal, who plays the role of Vihaan Singh Shergill, an Indian Army officer, enters the scene and promises not to let his men fall.
Suggesting a surgical strike to his elders, Paresh Rawal enters the screen.
Yami Gautami is seen playing the role of an intelligence officer.
