Efrat Ettinger, daughter of 21-year-old Rabbi Ahiad Ettinger, said soldiers were reluctant to use lethal force, which led to "a situation in which a civilian must protect a soldier".

Leilah, who also murdered one soldier and injured another, was arrested by the IDF on Tuesday. He was killed during his arrest.
