A Canadian artist hangs a personal object at the Toronto Art Of Banksy exhibition

A Toronto exhibit featuring the work of street artist Banksy he was at the head this week when a Canadian artist came in and hung his own artwork on the wall.

Tharanga Ramanayake presented his work entitled "Free-For-All" in the exhibition Art of Banksy

As the Toronto artist has explained on Twitter, his small illustration shows an art exhibit with a roadblock in front of him and a sign indicating "$ 35 Admission". [19659005] A slate next to the work reads: "Theft introduces street art to the interior and then imposes a right of entry." [19659005] The Art of Banksy exhibition acknowledged the coup in a Facebook post. Similar cascade Banksy himself would have shot at a number of galleries in New York City in 2005.

The post also rebuffed the apparent criticism of charging an entry fee for seeing otherwise free street art.
