The Israeli channel 7, Monday morning, stated that the Israeli authorities had approved the installation of a new central cemetery for settlers in an industrial area to the south of Hebron, in the north of the country. West Bank
PNN reports that, according to the station, it is the first central cemetery to be built in 20 years, and will be established in agreement with other governing boards.
The cemetery will occupy the width of 140 dunams, and should include 25,000 graves.
More than half a million settlers live in settlements in the occupied West Bank. Expansion and construction are ongoing even though settlements are illegal under international law.
