Israeli police arrested a Palestinian from East Jerusalem on Wednesday on suspicion of planning an attack.

The Israeli army announced on Monday that a Palestinian had stabbed a soldier in Hebron, West Bank, before being shot.
In a statement, the Israeli army said: "A terrorist attempted to stab a soldier near the Cave of the Patriarchs, wounding him slightly.The soldier and additional forces on the scene reacted by firing shots. and neutralized the terrorist. "
The incident occurred near the Cave of the Patriarchs. The Palestinian was identified as Muamar Arif al-Atrash, 42 years old and father of seven children.
