Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman said during a recent heated debate in the prime minister's office that he would not allow the reunification of Palestinian families in the interior of Israel, according to Channel 2 News. (Israeli Security Agency) Director Nadav Argaman after discovering that Chief Shabak had sent a letter to the coordinator of government activities in the IDF Territories to recommend the reunification of 100 Palestinian families in Israel.

The reunification of Palestinian families has been a controversial issue for years. This is a case where a Palestinian man or woman is married to an Israeli Arab or an Arab from East Jerusalem and applies for a permit to travel to Israel in order to be with his family.

"As long as I'm the Minister of Defense, there will be no reunification of Palestinian families," said Liberman, according to the report. "If they want it, they can unite in Gaza."

Liberman reportedly shouted to Argaman that it was out of place to send a letter directly to COGAT. "You have crossed all the red lines," Liberman said. "You can not contact COGAT without first taking it, it would be as if I were talking to your chief of operations without you going to do it."

Argaman reportedly told Liberman that he was not his subordinate and therefore did not have to take orders. from him. The Shin Bet is under the direct authority of the Israeli Prime Minister
