Bayit Yehudi's senior journalist, journalist Yifat Ehrlich, left the party on Thursday, a day after agreeing to stand on a list shared with the extremist Otzma Yehudit.

Ehrlich expressed strong opposition to the union, saying "our base is not there." She said on her Facebook page that "polls are being used to manipulate the public" and said this decision would encourage Bayit Yehudi voters to choose the new right.

Ehrlich was named third in Bayit Yehudi last week, which took her to seventh on the list after her union with National Union and the addition of two Otzma candidates.

The public committee Bayit Yehudi who appointed Ehrlich plans to meet again on Thursday to choose a new woman at its seat.

Otzma Yehudit confirmed his representatives on the list, claiming that former MP Michael Ben-Ari would be in fifth place and the far-right activist and lawyer Itamar Ben-Gvir in eighth place.

Polls indicate that Ben-Ari will likely become a member from the beginning. However, Ben-Gvir could easily end up in the Knesset because the agreement between Bayit Yehudi and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, which pushed the party to unite in Otzma, includes the extension of "Norwegian law", so that all ministers can leave the Knesset. to allow lawmakers more active, but recover their headquarters if they leave the government.

Otzma is led by students of Rabbi Meir Kahane, including Ben-Ari; Baruch Marzel, activist in Hebron; Benzi Gopstein, who heads an organization opposing Jewish and Muslim marriages; and Ben-Gvir. Kahane was elected to the Knesset in the 1980s and was later banned for inciting racist hatred; Marzel was his parliamentary badistant.

Netanyahu lobbied for parties to rank on a list, saying the polls showed that he was going to add two to three more votes to the right bloc, and had promised Bayit Yehudi and the National Union two seats in the cabinet in exchange for the agreement.

The parties agreed to add Otzma Wednesday after weeks of hesitation, but the terms of the agreement imply that Otzma is separating from their faction after the elections.
