At first, I did not think about using Waze too much, because I mostly know where I'm going, but after a while, I realized that real-time traffic routing was the factor I missed.
Now, when I go to work every day, I run Waze to find the best way to get to work or at home.
My motto became "just listen to the lady Waze."
Waze is free, but you will see ads at the top of the screen when you stop during your course. Google is probably collecting a good amount of data on my travel habits.
One feature of Waze that has escaped me is the audio integration. Some time ago, Waze added a Spotify button on the map screen to allow users to access their Spotify playlists while remaining in the Waze app, which facilitates many start a stream of music while driving. I do not advocate using your phone while you move. Having the Spotify button on the Waze screen means you can start the music by pressing a few times when stopped at a red light.
