English speakers can now learn the second most spoken language in the world: Duolingo Hindi. To the delight of Hindu learners, Duolingo recently launched the new Hindi course for English speakers. And it will soon be available on mobile platforms – iOS and Android.
The Duolingo Hindi Course:
This course was created by Kanan Gupta. According to the Washington Post, Hindi was spoken by nearly 600 million speakers in 2015. This number would have certainly increased from now on, hence the need to create and launch the course. Hindi for those who wanted to become familiar with the language. During the past year, more than 154,000 people had already registered to be notified if a new course was available for Hindi learning.
About 8.6 million Hindi speakers take English courses in Duolingo. The top 10 markets of Duolingo include India, with 10.1 million domestic users, hence the new Hindi course that targets the broad audience of Duolingo, thereby increasing its customer base. Duolingo also works on English courses for the Bengali, Punjabi, Telugu and Tamil speaking community. Although there is no English course to learn in other Indian languages, one can volunteer to develop the same thing at the Duolingo Incubator.
Duolingo is one of the most popular and free language learning platforms. In 2016, this website and this language learning application offered courses in 68 languages in 28 languages. The gamification was poured into the learning path of each language. Each lesson includes reading, listening and speaking activities as well as multiple choice questions. There is a ranking in progress in case you miss a challenge or lose a heart in case you go wrong. The user is encouraged to try again until he / she does it correctly.
