Huawei's founder and CEO, Ren Zhengfei, said the Chinese technology giant was preparing for the ban on trade by the US company and would have no problem without American chips.
HiSilicon, a Huawei subsidiary in the chip gaming sector, announced Friday that it would use backup chips that it has independently developed for years to deal with the ban. The Donald Trump administration blacklisted Huawei for posing a risk to the national security of the United States.
