Forbes Has released its list of 30 Under 30 Clbad of 2019 from across the United States and Canada.
The list features 300 trailblazers from 20 industries with average age of 26.8. Over 55% of them are founders or cofounders, 19% of them immigrants from 57 countries, and 38% of them identifying as first generation Americans.
Popular names on the list include Power forward for Milwaukee Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo, 23, Detroit Pistons star Blake Griffin, 29, who is making off-short moves as a media mogul, musicians Post Malone, 23, Lil Pump, 18, 21 Savage, 26, photographer Tyler Mitchell, 23 who photographed Beyonce for her Vogue September 2018 cover, and actor Storm Reid, 15.
Nigerians / people of Nigerian descent on the list include:
Arts & Style: Taofeek Abijako, 20, who started his luxury men's streetwear when he was a teenager at Albany High School.
Photographer, Kayode Ojo, 28 (Arts and Style) who had solo shows in Paris, Berlin, New York and Dallas.
Consumer Technology: Obi Omile Jr. who founded theCut with his high school best friend Kush Patel. theCut is a barbershop technology platform that allows users and barbers to schedule and manage appointments.
Healthcare: Adegoke Olubusi, 25, Tito Ovia, 25, and Dimeji Sofowora, 26 founders of Helium Health, used by 5,000 doctors, with data from 500,000 patients across West Africa.
Finance: Olaoluwa Osuntokun, 25, the Cofounder / CTO, Lighting Labs, Who Has Raised $ 2.5 Million to Turn Bitcoin into a more viable form of payment.
Sports: Emmanuel Acho, 28, a linebacker for the Browns and Eagles who serves as the national football badyst for ESPN. In 2017, his non-profit, Christian Living Hope Living Ministries, raised to a rural community in Nigeria.
Alos listed is Shadrack Frimpong, who became the first person from his village in Ghana to attend college in the U.S., earning a full ride to the University of Pennsylvania. He founded Cocoa360 after winning a contest and went on to pioneer the farm-for-impact model, using revenue from community cocoa farms to fund educational and healthcare services.
The 2019 clbad has raised over $ 1 trillion in funding and work an average of 67 hours per week.
77% of honorees considered being under the age of 30 years in their career, 89% are optimistic about the US economy for startups, 31% decided what they wanted to do for a career during university, 22% decided as a child, and 10% are still deciding.
