Four police officers were lightly wounded in a stabbing attack on Wednesday at a police station in Jerusalem’s Armon Hanatziv neighborhood.
The police said the incident occured at the station’s entrance. The badailant climbed over the station’s fence, where he pulled a knife and struck the officers. One of the officers was seriously struck in the head. Officers at the scene shot the attacker, seriously wounding him.
Magen David Adom reported that at around 10:30 P.M. they received a report that several people were wounded. Emergency medical teams arrived at the site and treated four officers, three of whom are Border Policemen. They were taken to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem.
The hospital said that the three of the four officers were released.
Magen David Adom paramedic Elad Pbad said that “when we got to the site, we saw three men who were fully conscious and sustained minor injuries. We gave them first aid and took them to the hospital, fully conscious and in stable condition.”
