The free NBA agency is only alive for a few hours, but there have already been some surprises. Paul George stays with the Thunder, Chris Paul is still a rocket, DeAndre Jordan is finally a Maverick. Much has happened late at night on the East Coast
It is early in the season of verbal agreements, and things can and will change, but there are already winners and losers. We are still waiting for whoever will be the biggest winner of the summer – that's the one who encodes LeBron James – but some of the other dominoes have already fallen.

Golden State Warriors [19659006] Yup, no one is going to be happy to hear this unless you live in the Bay Area, but things have become even easier for warriors. They have agreed to an agreement with Kevin Durant for at least another season (he will sign an agreement with a player option in the second year). This was expected, and Golden State fans can breathe easier knowing that it's almost over. But the big blow came elsewhere.
The Rockets lost a key starter, Trevor Ariza, to the Suns for a one year contract. Houston may have kept Chris Paul for a four-year contract, but they're losing a 3-D vet, and it hurts.
Oklahoma City Thunder
Woo-boy's things could have been horrible if Russell Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony were stranded at OKC without a third star. Thunder would have given Victor Oladipo the best player of the year for a one – year leasing contract against Paul George in a disappointing season if the striker had escaped to Los Angeles, but the bet of Oklahoma City was paying off. George really bought the atmosphere of OKC and Russ
George is here to stay on a long contract that will allow OKC to save money in the long run too!
Chris Paul
Paul did not have a five-year max deal deal, but he got four, which means he's going to earn 40 + $ million in his mid to late it 's a lot of money, and I'm sure it even understands that it' s probably not worth it. But he needed to be paid for his big final contract.
Dallas Mavericks
The Mavs and DeAndre Jordan seemed destined for each other since rumors of free agency began to buzz after the end of the finals. Both parties have agreed on a one – year deal, which is super supportive of Dallas, who does not have to commit money in the long run if things do not take place not with the next season of 30 years.
The Mavs have a good balance with the young talents of Luka Doncic and Dennis Smith Jr., and both should be getting married to Jordan. And if they do not, it's fine!
Denver Nuggets

They lost Trevor Ariza. Ugh.

Paul George
George stays in the team for which he wants to play, and that's great. But he will probably not be able to win a championship next season on this list, and he has accepted a four-year contract that is significantly smaller than a supermax that he could have lost in the playoffs playoffs in Indiana. Oh yes, and there is a problem of Carmelo Anthony to settle.

Philadelphia 76ers
Philly lost Ersan Ilyasova to the Bucks, Marco Belinelli to the Spurs and WAY more importantly Paul George, which could have been a perfect fit. It stings. It is possible that they come to empty this offseason they also feel LeBron and Kawhi Leonard, too.
Los Angeles Lakers
The LeBron-Kawhi pipe dream is anything but dead now. Things could change in a heartbeat if James signs to LA and the summer could be a huge win. But the night was disappointing, it is the least we can say.
