An Israeli court on Thursday approved the conditional release of imprisoned Palestinian resistance icon Raed Salah, according to his lawyer.
"The decision was made at a hearing today before the Israeli Judiciary Court in Haifa, in the north of the country," said lawyer Khaled Zbarqa at the Anadolu agency.
However, prosecutors have appealed this decision, which may delay Salah's release, Zbarqa said.
"The decision to appeal will be discussed tomorrow in court," he added
. In March, the court of approval approved Salah's conditional release, but the decision was quashed following an appeal by the prosecution.
The conditions imposed on the release of Salah include the ban on entering his hometown of Umm al-Fahm in northern Israel, as well as others. restrictions on his movement.
Last summer, Israeli police arrested Salah, the leader of the Islamic movement in Israel, before condemning him for "inciting violence" and throwing him into solitary confinement.
In February, a court in the city of Beersheba, in the south of the country, slapped the icon of resistance with six more months in isolation.
