Israel's security officials fear that Iran will attempt to target senior Israeli officials while they are abroad.

On Monday, Israel News Company reported that Shin Bet Security Services Director Nadav Argaman met with former Prime Minister Ehud Barak last week to discuss his personal safety. Barak frequently holds meetings abroad and is sometimes protected only by his personal handgun. Barak and Shin Bet did not respond to the report.
