TEL AVIV, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News, app – 30th Oct, 2018 ) :Israel on Tuesday held elections for regional and local city councils in cities including Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and Haifa.
There are about six million eligible voters and the turnout will be an indicator for upcoming elections in 2019.
There are about 10,000 polling stations across the country which remained open from 0700 to 2200 hours.
The candidates must receive more than 40 percent of the vote to be elected in the first round, otherwise they will face a run-off election scheduled for November 13.
