Israeli soldiers uprooted Wednesday dozens of olive, almond and fig trees belonging to a Palestinian villager from Deir Ballout, west of the town of Salfit, to the northwest of the West Bank, bringing to 350 the number of uprooted trees.

The uprooted trees were in Palestinian agricultural land in the Bab al-Marj area, east of Deir Ballout, and all belong to a Palestinian identified as Edrees Jabara Abdullah.

The soldiers also issued a demolition order for a shed in the area, and continued the bulldozing of Palestinian land to build a water distillation plant for the illegal Israeli settlement of Lashem, which was built on lands owned by villagers of Deir Ballout.

The latest Israeli violation brings the number of uprooted trees in the same area to 350 in less than 72 hours.

On Tuesday, illegal colonizers attacked Palestinian homes in the village of Aseera al-Qibliyya, north of the West Bank, and set fire to farmland. Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank, including occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under international law and the Fourth Geneva Convention.
