Israelis overwhelmingly favor US President Donald Trump over his predecessor Barack Obama, according to a new poll released Wednesday, and are lukewarm in their support for the immigration of American Jews into the Jewish state.
The survey, conducted for the Haaretz newspaper on the occasion of US Independence Day, revealed that nearly half of Israelis – 49% – strongly endorsed Trump (23% slightly ), while only 22% disagreed with the US president.
