As part of the strengthening activities of development cooperation between Israel and Ghana, the Embbady of Israel State of Israel in Accra, from Monday, July 9 to Friday, July 20, host of Dr. Michal Sela, a resource trainer MASHAV.
Dr. Sela will lead a series of workshops and dialogue programs to contribute to Ghana's efforts and processes for women's social and economic empowerment.
Michal Sela is the former Senior Director of the Women's Lobby in Israel and currently a lawyer and trainer for women's sensitivity and entrepreneurship.
His expertise extends from community mobilization and development of local leadership to organizational development; women's rights, empowerment, education and gender mainstreaming; management of social and educational entrepreneurship;
Thirty women from different professional backgrounds and levels belonging to different social groups will benefit from this initiative of the Israeli Agency for International Development and Cooperation (MASHAV) in collaboration with the Women's Network. and Growth (NEWIG), Amicus Onlus, Inner-City Development Foundation (IDF), Oaks & Wuuds and the Ministry of Gender, Childhood and Social Protection.
The workshops will focus on areas such as gender sensitivity, women as agents of change entrepreneurs, mentoring among others.
At the end of the workshops, it is expected that these women will be equipped with tools and skills that will help them become agents of change in their respective communities in the spheres of entrepreneurship and overcome obstacles, specifically related to their profession.
Dr. Sela will also have the opportunity to participate in a series of dialogues with other women executives and professionals from Ghana to share their experiences and ideas on women's issues in Ghana and Israel.

It will be led by Otiko Afisa Djaba, Ghana's Minister of Gender, Childhood and Social Welfare, and the Women's Executive Network, led by Mrs. Edith Dankwa.
The Embbady hopes that these collaborations pave the way for a possible long-term cooperation between MASHAV and Ghana in the areas of personal, economic and social empowerment of women at different levels (government, society civil society and the private sector).
