One of our favorite festivals will return for its 22nd year. The Japanese Film Festival (JFF) will be launched on October 17, 2018 and will be the subject of a national tour until December 2.
With a carefully curated selection of films in each city, the 2018 Festival program will feature special international guests, special school screenings and a free 35mm clbadic film program.
The Japan Film Festival is not only the largest Australian showcase of Japan's prolific film industry, but also a carefully curated cultural tour by the festival. The same year, one can make fun of an absurd comedy, crying over a melodrama or being splashed by an intense battle of the 16th century. Between festivals, the JFF has also experimented with JFF Fringe, an off-season program that highlights some of the Japanese movies you missed.
We will cover the JFF in detail this year again as part of our Asia in Focus Function Dates for Canberra, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne are below. Tickets will be available at japanesefilmfestival.net or at the box office
