Jonathan Rhys Meyers and John Hurt's Damascus cover receive a new poster

Directed by Daniel Zelik Berk, the spying thriller Damascus Cover with Jonathan Rhys Meyers (Mission Impossible III, The Tudors) arrives in the UK on August 3, 2018.

The cast also includes John Hurt ( Alien, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy) in his last role, as well as Olivia Thirlby (Juno, Dredd), Navid Negahban (Homeland, American Sniper) and Jurgen Prochnow (Das Boot, Dune).

The film revolves around an Israeli spy, Ari Ben Zion (Meyers) who is haunted by the death of his son and is recalled to Jerusalem after a failed attempt to bring a mole alive in Israel. Not knowing how many of its members were exposed, the Mossad entrusts Ari to take out a scientist of chemical weapons from Syria

while in Damascus, the loneliness of Ari is relieved by Kim (Thirlby), a young American photographer. The days of his arrival, his mission goes badly and in order to survive Ari reaches out to a named deep cover agent code, The Angel. He soon discovers that he is a pawn in a much bigger plan that will change him forever.

Produced by Hannah Leader, Huw Penalt Jones, Jomon Thomas and Masaaki Tanaka, the film has already been awarded by the critics at the Boston Film Festival and the Manchester Film Festival, including the best film, the best director and the best actor.
