During the ceremony, Shakira says in Arabic: "Hello Tannurine, Thank you, I am happy to be here."

Shakira visited Lebanon for the first time in 2003 and later in 2011 when she held a concert.

She was accompanied during this trip by her parents and two children with her Spanish partner – football player Gerard Pique.
