The new Mexican president, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, on Friday criticized the decision of the electoral authority to impose $ 10 million on his party for violating the law on the election campaign, calling it "act of revenge" against his overwhelming victory

On Wednesday, the National Electoral Institute (INE) fined the left-wing nationalist movement (MORENA) of Lopez Obrador for a trust created last year that the party said was intended to help victims of the earthquake. "It's an act of revenge," said Lopez Obrador outside his team's Mexico City office, accusing INE of behaving "tendentiously".
"They act this way because they do not accept the new reality," said the 64-year-old man, resorting to the fighting tone that he used in the campaign to attack the government.
