Machado beating second at the beginning of Dodgers

Acuna begins for the first time
The Braves start their second half Friday night. When they do, they will have a new look on the top of their order. Ronald Acuna Jr., former baseball prospect, will lead the game for the first time in his career:
The Braves used only three leading forwards all season, with Ender Inciarte (53) and Ozzie Albies (40) ) in 93 of the 94 games of Atlanta. (Dansby Swanson was the first to come back in mid-June.) Syndergaard confronts the Yankees
Noah Syndergaard returns after having missed nearly two months just before the break, throwing five innings of a ball against the Nationals. Friday, he will make his first start on the road since the end of May, while he and the Mets travel across the city to face the Yankees.
