Viacom-owned Nicktoons is set to air its own version of cult competition format Takeshi’s Castle with Roman Kemp, son of actor and Spandau Ballet member Martin Kemp, onboard as host.

The series will begin airing next month on Nicktoons in the UK and is made up of seven themed compilation episodes created especially for the channel, which is aimed at seven- to 11-year-olds.

In related news, Viacom-owned Nick Jr Too in the UK has acquired the second season of CGI series Floogals from UK production company Nevision.

The series is coproduced by Nevision, Zodiak Kids Studios and Universal Kids with UK animation studio Jellyfish Pictures.

The producers are currently in production on a third season for coproduction partner Universal Kids and Viacom-owned Channel 5’s preschool block Milkshake!.

Season one of Floogals has been sold to networks including Piwi+ in France, Discovery Kids in Lat Am, MBC in the Middle East and Discovery Kids Asia Networks.

The show follows three pocket-sized alien adventurers on a mission to observe, experience and detail life on planet Earth.
