Ozuna's Grand Slam Aligns the Cardinals to the Cubs 6-2

ST. LOUIS – Marcell Ozuna has signed a grand slam in a first round of six innings, Miles Mikolas has pitched six strong innings and the St. Louis Cardinals have defeated the Chicago Cubs 6-2 on Saturday in front of a crowd of 47 514 spectators at Busch Stadium.

The Cardinals have improved to 9-6 this season against the LN's leading Cubs. Chicago lost four out of six overall.

Ozuna hit his second grand slam this season and fifth of his career. Ozuna had three hits.

Jose Martinez fired a Jose Quintana with a base-base (9-7) and Ozuna followed with his 11th home race. Yairo Munoz added a double RBI

The last time the Cardinals scored six points in the first run was eight years to the day, July 28, 2010 against the Mets

Quintana needed 33 shots to save her first. and 51 slots to get through the first one. The six points were the best that Quintana allowed in the first run this season – he had dropped just four earned runs in the first run in 19 starts this season.

Mikolas (11-3) granted six hits, including two -run homer by Javier Baez, who logged in for the second time in the series. Three St. Louis lifters each started a goalless round
