JERUSALEM (JTA) – Two Palestinian teenagers from the West Bank entered Israel with homemade machine guns

The Nablus teenagers were found by a Border Patrol foot patrol in the sewing zone, between the line Green and Israel's security fence, outside the Oranit community near central Israel. They tried unsuccessfully to escape, according to the Israeli police.

Teens, aged 17 and 18, carried the machine guns and Carlo style cartridges in a colorful school backpack.

The infiltration occurred two days after a 17-year-old Palestinian climbed the fence of the Adam settlement north of Jerusalem and stabbed three people, killing a father of two young children 31 years old.
