Police arrest 4 suspects while tracking down a kidnapped 7-year-old kid continues

Police arrested four suspects as the search continued Thursday for a seven-year-old boy who had been kidnapped outside his home two days earlier.

The four are scheduled to appear in court in Rishon Lezion on Thursday morning for a hearing to extend their pre-trial detention. The police said that three of the suspects were aged 26, 27 and 41, without giving details of the fourth person.

The development comes after a television report Wednesday night that an agreement had been reached with the kidnappers of Karim Jumhour for his return.

While they respond, a masked man jumps through one of the back doors and pushes Jumhour into the car. The attacker tries to catch the other child, who is out of reach. The vehicle then flees places.

"My wife and the whole family are still in shock," said the boy's father. "We can not understand what happened … It is good that they did not kidnap another child."

Qalansawe Mayor Abdel-Basit Salameh described the incident as "shocking."

"It's impossible to let something like that happen." "At this point, we have no details about the condition of the boy.We are waiting to hear good news.The most important thing is that the boy be fired."

Salameh said the police were constantly searching for the boy and his captors since he was taken away.
