Singh began his official engagements during a meeting with representatives of the Israeli group Tyros International Group Ltd to discuss investment opportunities in the infrastructure sector of Punjab.

In a tweet after the meeting, the prime minister said he discussed "investment opportunities in infrastructure development in the Punjab, including housing, energy, water supply, wastewater treatment and hospitals. ".

He then went to visit NaanDan Jain Irrigation facilities, accompanied by state officials, to witness the latest technology used in precision farming and horticulture.

The Prime Minister of Punjab leads a high-level delegation to Israel to strengthen cooperation with the Jewish nation in the fields of agriculture, horticulture, dairy farming and management wastewater, in addition to attracting investment in that state.

The delegation must also interact with Israeli companies with expertise in the area of ​​internal security to strengthen the preparation of internal security in Punjab.

Singh will also visit several facilities and institutions working in sectors such as agriculture, horticulture, dairy and wastewater management to exploit opportunities to meet the needs of Punjab and strengthen the state's internal security apparatus.

Before his visit, the Prime Minister of Punjab said his government was eager to take advantage of Israeli technological advances.

At a meeting with an Israeli delegation before his visit, he had expressed his interest in adopting Israeli know-how in order to boost the dairy sector.

On Tuesday, a seminar on investment opportunities in Punjab was organized to attract Israeli investment in the state.

The Punjab Agricultural University will sign memoranda of understanding with the Tel Aviv University and the Galilee Institute for cooperation in the field of agriculture.

Another protocol of agreement will be signed in the field of water conservation by the visiting delegation.

State security officials also reportedly made earlier trips to Israel to use advanced technology and acquire intelligence and homeland security expertise to strengthen the Punjab security apparatus.

Singh is to appeal to Israeli President Reuven Rivlin, Agriculture Minister Uri Ariel, and Minister of Energy and Water Resources Yuval Steinitz during his trip.

He will also visit the cemetery of Indian soldiers who lost their lives during the 1918 Haifa war of liberation.
