Rabbi Shalom Ber Sorotzkin, a prominent figure in the haredi, who was taking part in the famous 002 El Al flight from New York to Tel Aviv this month, threatened to call for a boycott of the airline unless It publicly apologizes on Sunday for dubious actions taken during the flight. .

Last Thursday, flight 002 between New York and Tel Aviv was seriously delayed. Although religious pbadengers asked to get off the plane before takeoff to avoid flying during Shabbat, the flight took off while the captain had promised to arrive in Israel before the beginning of Shabbat.

"Society wants to protect itself," she continued, referring to possible boycotts in the haredi sector. "One moment is on the employee side and the next moment he says something different for fear of losing customers."

Some 150 pbadengers on Flight 002 have already threatened El Al with a 9 million NIS lawsuit for compensation and damages suffered because of their flying experience.
