A person was killed Friday morning after the collapse of a tunnel in northern Israel, reported firefighters and Rescue Northern District. According to the police, 11 workers who were in the tunnel were saved; two of them suffered moderate injuries and received medical treatment at the scene.
Police opened an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident in cooperation with an accident investigator from the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.
According to Magen David Adom, the collapse occurred during pumping and drainage work.
